A dog and cat mom, equestrian, foster and all animal advocate. BARK BAR began with a life long, deep love for animals and a simple belief: our pets deserve the same care and quality ingredients we give the rest of our family.
My journey in food started back in 2011, cooking fresh meals for my Mastiff, Sophia Loren, who lived to be 12 years old. I simply wanted better ingredients, better nutrition, and food made with intention.
A few years later, Isabella Nova joined the family, my first Great Dane, who struggles with anxiety and food allergies. Fresh made meals have made all the difference for her.
In 2023, I adopted another Great Dane, Maverick, my handsome gentle giant who came to me after experiencing abuse and severe malnourishment. Helping him heal physically and emotionally deepened my belief in the power of good nutrition, patience, and love. Watching his strength return, his coat shine, and his spirit come back to life reinforced why real food and thoughtful care matter so much. Homemade toppers soon followed, and before long, the kitchen became a place of constant tail wags and hopeful eyes waiting for the next batch.
What started as a small and yet enormous change in my kitchen has grown into a bigger mission: creating wholesome, all-natural treats made with ingredients that are thoughtfully sourced and carefully prepared. Every batch of BARK BAR treats reflects the same standards used in daily meals at home — simple, nourishing, and made with love.
Each recipe is tested and approved by a very enthusiastic four-legged quality control team, whose health and happiness is the best proof that real food makes a difference.
